Recommendations

The shredder should have a 3 phase motor which is by nature more efficient and runs smoother. You can run a 3 phase motor on a single phase 110/220 Volt outlet by using a ‘VFD’. If not, make sure it has at least 2 capacitors.
If using 3 Phase, a shredder should have a VFD to control speed, a VFD also provides safety and fault protection as well over-torque protection
Please ask for details on the motor power, the recommended power is 2.2 KW for standard house-hold waste, and 3-4 KW for stronger plastic
New and quality components are easily 1100 Euros alone. Be prepared to spend at least 1500 Euros for a good shredder in the Bazar. Prices may vary on different continents.
